Moody Rooster is hands down the best restaurant in the area. I’m here often and the food is consistently excellent, thoughtful, seasonal and clearly cooked with care. Chef Collin Crannell and his wife Vicky, who runs the front of house, make this place what it is. You can feel that it’s a restaurant run by people who genuinely care and it shows in everything from the food to the service. Moose behind the bar makes fantastic cocktails and Annie always makes you feel welcome the second you walk in. It’s rare to find a place that gets food, drinks and hospitality this right, this consistently. Huge thanks to the whole team for being so great, you’ve built something really special here.
Great food: we ordered half chicken (not dry), baby back ribs (interesting blueberry jam), roasted beets (bomb) and bread. Servers were attentive and friendly (didn't seem like they hated working here) Outdoor sitting is nicer than indoor (too loud as there aren't windows that can be opened. Tip: come early, line gets long around 7.
Had an amazing dinner at Moody Rooster. Started with the ember roasted red beets — beautifully balanced with a nice smoky flavor. The crispy gnocchi lives up to the hype (crispy outside, pillowy inside, so good). We also tried the Spanish octopus, which was tender and full of flavor. Cocktails were creative and well-made. The space has a warm, rustic vibe that fits the seasonal, farm-to-table concept perfectly. Highly recommend making a reservation — this place fills up for good reason!
